Paris, France: The PYN convened for the second Palestinian Youth Network conference doubling the amount of participants from the previous year and expanding regional participation to North and South America, new countries in Europe and the Arab world as well as Australia. The participants engaged in an eleven day conference to thoroughly examine the challenges Palestinian youth are facing today and to develop the leadership skills and capabilities of our generation to promote the justice of our cause in all arenas. Simultaneously, a select group of international coordinators from the conference were working on drafting the by-laws of the network. Upon the conclusion of the France conference, the organizers recognized that our work needed to be carefully crafted and would more time than anticipated considering the magnitude of what we were attempting to create and the challenges that faced us throughout the process specifically throughout the conference in France. A Follow up committee of nine people was selected to write the by-laws, organize the next conference, and develop the work and activities of the network. Although the PYN faced several challenges in an early phase of the networks development; the passion, talent, knowledge, and skills of the present participants were paramount and enabled the idea of PYN to transform into a concrete goal. The organizers faced many challenges, pressures and logistical errors in the France conference however the participants demonstrated an immense passion to preserve and develop the PYN and were willing to personally commit to the long and tedious process.
