Madrid Spain The Madrid conference convened with the first two days reserved for the founders. 28 PYN founders unanimously approved the PYN by-laws which the Follow up Committee had worked diligently in making throughout the year. The founders also approved a two year strategic action plan for the networks activities and elected the first ever International Executive Board. On November 5th, 2009 nine members were elected to the IEB. Following the founders conference was a three day conference in which approximately another 100 Palestinian youth from the whole world joined together to discuss the diversity in Palestinian communities and the challenges that threaten the unity of our people. The youth also discussed the history of the Palestinian struggle for justice and our role as an emerging generation of conscious young Palestinians.
