Barcelona, Spain: 2006 marked the beginning of a significant transformation in Palestinian youth activism world wide as a result of the first international Palestinian Youth Network Conference. What started off as an idea to bring together young Palestinians from the Arab world and Europe to engage in a critical discussion about our role in contributing to the liberation of our land and people resulted in a conference that has transformed itself into a tangible vehicle of Palestinian youth agency, power and activism. This conference affirmed the mutual desire of these youth to build a sustainable institution that would enhance their ability to meet and organize together.
